This game is set in an alternate Ninth Pass of Pern, 15 years after the events of the first book, Dragonflight - a timeline in which the plan to bring forward the Oldtimers failed. At this point, all of the canon characters have either died or faded into obscurity, and the defense of Pern is left to a new generation of heroes.
