Music
I'm not quite a hardcore music fan (that honor goes to my younger brother!) but I am interested in listening to and discovering more music in the genres I like. My musical tastes run from Alternative Rock, Classic Rock and City Pop to various types of electronic music (synthwave, vaporwave, dreampunk, future funk, trance, chiptune, etc.) I've also been a fan of J-pop and J-rock since I was a teen. And recently, I've become somewhat of a Bandcamp junkie, with a focus on more indie, obscure artists, especially in the dreampunk and future funk genres.
Even though I do use streaming services, I'm still a fan of physical releases (CD, Cassette, Vinyl) and pick up new releases in any of these formats whenever I can. I also love the designs of the different media players and hardware out there, especially cassette Walkmans and standalone DAPs, and even headphones. I don't have a collection of them (yet!) but I do appreciate their looks.
My interest has also migrated over to other music file formats: MIDI, video game rips (.nsf, .spc, .gbs) and chiptune ROMs... as well as the hardware and software that can play them, from the old Winamp music player to actual Game Boys! (Playing electronic music with actual electronics? What a novel idea!)
